Bonsoir, I am Lizah Klehpaire, new age madame. Sit down, have some tea, I’ll read your palm.
Sadly the internet is not yet capable of allowing two people to share a cup of tea, and I have not yet acquired the skill of palm reading. However, as a new age madame I do predict that one day these things will be possible. I also know that then will be now fairly soon.
I have set up shop here on the interwebs because I realized that my sporadically-produced, yet (self-proclaimed) brilliant work was not getting enough exposure in the margins of my notebooks and on series of post-it notes. I have always sort of aspired to start a magazine. Unfortunately the print media industry barely has a pulse anymore.
How do I know that? Advertising is kind of a passion of mine my passion. That might not sound very noble, and it probably sounds shallow too, so let me break it down. I live and die to understand the minute intricacies of what makes people tick. When I’m no longer young and cool enough to be part of the pop culture beat-setting machine I will gladly go off to the rainforests of Malaysia, or towns flung out in the far eastern reaches of Siberia to observe how those people live. Maybe I’ll be able to sell them something and make a buck, or they’ll make me their spiritual leader, but I’d be happy with just understanding them.
In addition to a burning desire to understand all of mankind I’ve got a flair for some kind of aesthetic. I don’t know how to describe my taste very well, and words are my strongest medium of expression, but I know what I want things to look like and sound like. Usually I like things to be funny.
Glad to have you aboard the ship. Together we will explore the depths of cultures new and old. I recommend doing some stretches because we’ll be travelling far, and we’ll be travelling wide, and your mind is very likely to expand.
